User Experience Consultant Sr
This is an exciting opportunity within our Commercial Lines division. As a web designer you will help with a redesign of all systems including consumer, agent, and internal facing platforms. This project is in the early stages and you will play a critical role in this major system overhaul.
Essential Duties:
Translate stakeholder needs into mockups and interaction requirements
Collaborate with workgroups and stakeholders to finalize mockups and interaction requirements
Utilize internal data and Google Analytics to identify UX opportunities
Conduct usability studies
Promote designs and projects internally
Support projects from the concept stage through to production
Report on KPIs
Knowledge, Skills, and Education requirements:
Bachelors degree in Web Design, Graphic Design or related field of study (Visual Communications) and 8 years designing digital user experiences and technology delivery methodologies with a fast time:to:market.
8 years prior experience with large/corporate web sites designed for multiple user groups and experience applying user experience methodologies and participating in usability testing.
Strong MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint).
Expertise using a rapid prototyping tool (e.g. Balsamiq, Axure) and process mapping tools.
Advanced understanding of the state of the current system (strengths and weaknesses). Has specialized knowledge in multiple web applications.
Demonstrates understanding of insurance industry, competitive environment and trends.
Knowledgeable about all systems and processes that effect business area.
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written as well as listening. Prepares and delivers presentations for groups outside the organization. Responsible for content and production of formal reference material on behalf of the entire group.
Expert interaction design and technical skills. Proficient with web analytic tools.
Ability to solve real:world business problems with technology as an enabler.
Preferred Technical Skills Needed:
HTML/CSS coding experience
Photoshop/Fireworks experience
Interaction Design experience
JavaScript experience preferred
ASP experience is a plus (or PHP/Python/Java)
SQL/Google Analytics/Excel experience a major plus
Property and Casualty Insurance experience is a major plus
