A Software Developer job is available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technology. This is a 2 year contract with a Global Organization in Peebles, OH. The Software Developer will be creating new software applications as well as altering and maintaining existing software applications.Software Developer Job Duties:
Most new software applications are to be created using VB.Net, although some applications will require PHP, HTML, Perl, and/or Python.
The majority of the existing applications that will require maintenance were created using VB 6 or VB.Net, however some were created using C#, PHP, C, and Java.
Data for new applications is stored in a mySQL database, while existing applications store their data in either a mySQL or an Access database.
Occasionally require for applications to read data from an Oracle database.
Required Skills:
2 years in Application/Software Development
.Net (C# or VB)
Strong database knowledge (SQL, MySQL, or Oracle)
Front End Development teachnologies (HTML, CSS)
Excellent Communication Skills
